Things I didn’t mention in the Cyrano video that I wanted to mention somewhere

I’ve been working on this video off and on for about a year now. It started as “The Man, The Myth, the Legend” which would have started with a quick summary of Cyrano’s life, then go into the play, then talk about everything since.
But as I wrote the summary of Cyrano’s life, it got more and more detailed, and I had to ask myself, who would watch this?
And I figured in the case of this man in particular, it’s probably best to start with the Myth, start with the story that more people know, so I swapped the sections around. It feels more appropriate this way.
I’ve also decided on the release date: March 6th, 2025
March 6th is the closest idea we have to what Cyrano’s birthday would have been. It’s the day he was baptized, in 1619, and if Wikipedia is to be believed, since he was born in Paris, it wasn’t uncommon to be baptized on the same day as the birth, or more likely within a few days. Happy 406th baptismday.
I’ve put a lot of thought and research into this video. I hope you look forward to it.
