  • Rook isn’t from Earth, but he strikes me as being a mix of Peruvian, Algerian, and Catalan .

  • Rook is from a backwater former-mining planet called Akabyssus.

Hair

  • Color: black

  • Length: below shoulder blades

  • Default style: pulls his hair up and back into a bun. The excess sticks out of the bun in upswept bird-fashion. His sideburns taper down into facial hair that ends at the base of his jaw.

  • Alternate styles:

    • his hair is down when he’s relaxing at home

    • rare sightings have him with a bushy ponytail, a reverse bun, or a high ponytail

    • he keeps his forelock pulled back, to keep the hair out of his face, but as his story wears on, he’ll start twirling a piece and letting it hang on his forehead

    • A normal nose might be measured by bridge length, but his is measured by base length.

Outfit

  • Highest priority is that nothing ever covers his bullseye. If he MUST wear something that covers it, he’ll take a black marker and draw a bullseye on the chest piece over where is tattoo is. This implies he always has a marker on him. Where does he keep it? I dunno.

    • Dedicated marker pouch on the belt. Tube-shaped, has a snap enclosure on his left hip.

  • If he were captured, gagged, and forced into a straitjacket, upon rescue his partymate would of course remove the gag, but the first words out of Rook’s mouth would be “what’re you doing, take this shirt off first!”

  • Rook is not a fancy man by any means, always wears neutral colors. Off-white pants and shirts, tan shoes, and a red-brown belt and accessories.

  • The only jewelry he’ll ever wear are his barbell nipple piercings. Does not wear rings, earrings, necklaces, etc.

  • If he must wear a shirt, it’s open, light, and breezy.

  • Sometimes wears bracers. Maybe even has a neat collection of them. Maybe not tho, I think he travels extremely light.

  • Strongly prefers high-waisted pants.

    • The man has no hips to speak of, so to keep his sword belt up, he has a single belt loop that he’s sewn onto the left hip of all of his pants. Therefore, it’s not his belt that keeps his pants up, but the other way around. This is probably why he wears high-waisted pants.
